The Fast is broken

There actually was a little tinge of sadness as we broke the fast.  It has been such a sweet time.  But Outback was calling.  God was so good...  and His presence has been amazing at our services at Coast.

My prayer for you is that you will continue to press in and seek after God.  Even though the fast is over... Keep pressing in.  Keep listening.  Let God speak to your heart.  Take time to get quiet.  You will be glad you did.

Fast Ends today at Sundown...  Great job!  I can't wait to hear of the fruit from this fast in your life.

Almost there...  the end is in sight.  Don't falter now.  Press in.

“And when you fast, don’t make it obvious, as the hypocrites do, for they try to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. I tell you the truth, that is the only reward they will ever get. 17 But when you fast, comb your hair and wash your face. 18

Then no one will notice that you are fasting, except your Father,who knows what you do in private. And your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

Rick Warren Chalupa shakes up Gulf Breeze neighborhood

Gulf Breeze, FL - Tyler Owens got more than he bargained for when he decided to think outside the bun on Friday. After leaving the drive-thru of Taco Bell he unwrapped his Baja Chalupa to find the unmistakable image of uber-pastor Rick Warren emblazoned on the crispy chewy shell. “I was shocked,” said Jordan who preserved the image by carefully

eating the seasoned beef and cheese all around the Chalupa Rick icon. Owens credits the chalupa with healing him of a mild acid reflux issue he struggled with for hours earlier that day. “Say what you want. All I know is I had this slight burning in my throat and now I don’t,” he responds. He plans to auction what remains of Chalupa Rick on e-bay. “I’m thinking it should fetch me some nice cash. It’s not like some of those older versions those punks are trying to unload. This

one has his new pimped out hair and boy-band goatee.” Reverend Warren was unavailable for comment but Zondervan did announce plans to increase the production run of the Purpose Driven Tortilla press in time for Christmas ’09.

Sunday Nite Smack Down er, I mean Wrap up.

• Wow!  I mean it, Wow!  What an amazing day at Coast today.  I know I feel that way every week but today was off the chain, or off the hook, or the hizzie, or whatever they say these days.
• Great energy in the room...  wrapped up our Whispers series and talked about how to recognize the voice of God
• The band just flat out blew the doors off the place today.  They sounded amazing and the presence of God was so strong.
• I love talking to people who have just had the lights come on.  Its great seeing people start their journey with Christ... and we have a lots of brand new believers.
• Its day 15 of the Awakening fast and God is really doing some amazing stuff.
• I had someone tell me today that they have been coming to Coast for two weeks and have already learned more than they have ever learned in a church before.  And they are so excited about starting their relationship with Christ.
• We had a good turn out today for our Coast Connection Classes.  I taught the first class, Embrace.   Love the new folks God is bringing to Coast.
• I had a good friend say to me a little while ago... you really love what you do, don't you?   Oh yeah!  You have no idea!
• A friend wrote on my face book tonight, "Church was awesome today.  It hit the spot + rocked it sideways."    I love that!
• Not hanging with the teens tonight because its been such a busy day...  feel like I'm missing out.
• CSM, our ministry to teens is really growing and Kara and Jordy do an awesome job.
• Going to hang out at home tonight by myself.  Vicki is teaching the book of James with our ladies' ministry and Leanna is with the teen ministry...
• Think I'm going to watch the Last Templar on NBC... and just chill...
• Next week at Coast is going to been fun...  we are mixing things up some... Should be a blast.
• Oh, and February 2nd is Fuel... our leader's meeting... and February 13 is our Friday the 13 Valentines Murder mystery...   That's going to be a fun night!
• Just in case you didn't catch it a few lines earlier...  I do love what I do.

Today is Sunday... and a day of Celebration....  Spend time with your church family worshipping today.  Remember, prayer renews your faith.

Isaiah 54:10

For the mountains may move and the hills disappear but even then my faithful love for you will remain.  My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you.
