A few rambles before Christmas..
**I hope you are slowing down long enough to really enjoy this Christmas season. Sunday I spoke about being in the moment during Christmas... My prayer is that you would enjoy every second of your Christmas this year.
**Loving God and loving people is something we do all year long, but it is especially important during the Christmas season. Take time to spend time with Jesus during Christmas and let His love flow through you to others.
**You've heard it said that Jesus is the reason for the season... but I actually think we are the reason for the season.... Jesus came for us... to make a way for us to have a relationship with the Father. What an amazing thing!
**You ever wondered what the angels must have been feeling watching the God of the universe being born in a stable, taking his first steps, having to have his diaper changed? I can't even begin to imagine what could have been going on in their minds.
**Because of the economy, giving is down 20 to 25% all over the nation in churches. Coast is no exception. Would you consider making a special monetary Christmas gift to Coast this year, above and beyond your tithe? The ministry of Coast is one of the best investments you can make.
**I am really looking forward to "Awakening" We will be fasting together as a church for 21 days in January. The staff will be doing a Daniel fast during that time, which basically is fruits and vegetables only. Water to drink. (No Starbuck's... wow.) You can participate any way you can... fasting the whole time... or on certain days. I really believe that this is going to be a launching pad for the amazing ministry that Coast is going to do in 2009... It will also be a great place for God to speak into your life. I will be posting more info on fasting in the weeks to come.
**Its great seeing all the new faces at Coast each week. If you are new to Coast... you definitely want to connect with one of our many small groups.... you can email Pam at jeffpam@mchsi.com for more info. If you have been coming to Coast for awhile... make sure you meet some of the new families... Who knows, your next best friend may have just started attending...
**I can't wait till Sunday... I love Sunday's at Coast anyway.... but this week is going to be so special that I literally am counting down the minutes till Sunday. Looking forward to celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior with you on Sunday.
Let's Rock the World together!
Cya Sunday,
Robert
