American Idol - Girls

Well, I agree with Simon... the girls are not as strong as the guys this year.  A couple of performances I liked.  Amanda rocked it... I always kind of liked her... but I thought it was really good tonight.  Carly, I thought really did great.  I didn't know the song at first and it wasn't till I heard Simon say it was a Celine Dion song that I vaguely recognized it.    I liked her take on it... just not a great song.  My favorite performance of the night, and some may disagree, but I liked Brooke's take on Pat Benatar's "Love is a battlefield."  I thought it was very moving...   Gutsy call... definitely the best of the night to me.

The rest of the pack - forgetable. There is plenty of talent throughout the girls.. but tonight most did not shine.  That's my thoughts...
